First Day...

(Written in early September)

Today we're celebrating a couple of momentous firsts...

1) Malaya and her first day of public school. She's in first grade now. We're crashing the neighborhood public school to see if she can get from the 1st overload list to actually get assigned to a class. Can you believe it? I remember crashing classes in college, but first grade? Malaya's a trooper. She always approaches things with such zeal. Today was no exception.

2) Our first prenatal visit. Yes, it's true. We're pregnant with number two. It's early in the game and you know what they say about getting through the first trimester so we have about a month to go before we're in the clear. We're excited! And I'll be glad when morning sickness (or in my case--all day sickness) is over and done.
